ABOUT US FOR STAFF FOR STUDENTS NEWS AND EVENTS

Positions avaliable
Research Fellow, Computational Mathematics, SPH Application, School of Mathematical Sciences

Applications are invited for a two-year fixed term research position to generalise SPH to two-phase flow in tanks subjected to arbitrary acceleration. The applications will be to sloshing in tanks containing natural gas in liquid and vapour form. The successful applicant requires a PhD and will join a team working on a wide variety of SPH applications in industry, maritime engineering and astrophysics.

Research Fellow, Statistics and Stochastic Processes, School of Mathematical Sciences

Applications are invited for a two-year fixed term research position to work on modelling with stochastic differential equations. The project involves development and implementation of novel ways of solutions and simulations of stochastic differential equations. The areas of application are biology and finance. The applicant requires a PhD and will join the team working on the project headed by Professor Klebaner.
